Does anyone know if you have to stay a certain amount of days or anything?

Here's what I'm thinking. We'll be staying at Hojo's for 5 nights, which we are excited about. But we will be there during the pool renovation. So I'm thinking of adding a day, and staying at the DLH. That would be a day of hanging out at the pool (or course going back in to DL for a while). Maybe do a Goofy's breakfast or dinner.

The only problem there would be if our room wasn't ready until late (doesn't offer much swimming time then).

We love the pool there, and it would just give us a one day "resort" relaxing day to the end of our trip. Wasn't sure if going with our AP would be the best way to do that. Any advice is always appreciated! :goodvibes

I've gone for just one night many times with my AP discount. There is no set amount of days for that discount.

Doesn't the HoJo have 2 pools?

Yep, one of the pools will be open during our stay. But there will be no hot tub, and I have to wonder how crowded that one pool will be. So we'll see on that. It would just be nice to have one day to hang out in the themed pool, and soak in the hot tub that night (something we really enjoy our vacations, so that will be missed otherwise!).

Yep, there is no minimum # of days. If you check in early and request to be able to use the pool after you check out you'd have 2 days to use the pool. The keys are activated to open the pools, just not your room until its ready. You also won't be able to take a shower on your second day, but you'd get 2 pool days at DLH.

Gotcha! If you could find a decent AP rate I would do it then. I just don't liike changing rooms, too much of a :headache: for me. It would make me want to stay at the DLH the entire trip. ;)

So we could use the pool before our room is ready? That would be really nice!

LOL I know what you mean. We've done this before, only we had the first night at the DLH, and then the rest of the trip at the Castle Inn. That was NOT smart! Best to do it the other way around, knowing you have that to look forward to! :)

But I think it will be nice. We plan on relaxing by the pool, have a dinner at Goofy's. Get ice cream in DTD, and go in the park for Fantasmic or Fireworks. Nice way to end a vacation! :)

Yes, just let them know when you check in that you want to be able to use the pool immediately and they'll activate your key. We've checked in as early as 8am in the past and not have any issues even though our room wasn't ready til 3pm.

Thank you! That is really good to know!

Well I got an AP rate of $270 for the one night. It's definitely a splurge. My husband is thrilled though. He'll have his precious day of relaxing in a hot tub! :rotfl: I'll enjoy a good swim too, but you bet I'll be back in that park for some extra time and to see Fantasmic! :lovestruc

:)Very Cool Jen - sounds like an awesome plan!
I am sure you will all really enjoy that day at the pool. I stayed at DLH in Feb and one afternoon got a fruity rum drink at the bar, soaked my legs in the hot tub, watched some cute kids having a blast all around the pool, layed on a lounger (in the shade) and actually took a cat nap, it was heavenly:cutie: . It is one of my fondest memories of the weekend. Have a wonderful time.

That sounds so heavenly, and exactly what I hope to do on this one day! ;)

I've already had one family member say I was crazy to pay that for one night. But, I say there is nothing wrong with splurging and relaxing for one day on vacation!

Jen, you might want to let your family memeber in on how much you saved with the ent. rate at the HoJo. I'm sure that savings more than paid for your 1 night at the DLH. Enjoy your splurge!
