AP rates for DVC resorts

do they come up much in the best rate program, we are wanting to stay in a one bed villa for about 12 nights or so, will probably rent some points but doubt we will be able to get enough, so may have to pay cash for some nights

I am looking at a christmas BRP and you can find several of the DVC propertied in there(for about the price of renting points @$10 a point...only difference is the tax)
