Are AP rates generally available for DVC properties, specifically Old Key West? Would the discount be similar to that offered for Deluxe Resorts? Just in general, I know nothing's set in stone. Thanks!

I'll give an unqualified "maybe" They have been in the past, and they've been comparable to deluxe discounts. It depends on availablity and time of year, but OKW is one of the larger resorts. There are periods when DVC fills up fast, like F&W and pre-Christmas. Disney keeps about 2-4% of DVC villas for "hotel" type rental, but if demand is high, some may be turned over to DVC for member use. Rooms may still be available, but not necessarily at a discount.

If cost is a primary concern, you may do better to try and find a DVC member to rent points from. It's a lot cheaper. Renting DVC villas through CRO can be pretty pricey even with a discount. When renting, you wouldn't be able to buy some of the package plan things like a dining plan, but you'd save a LOT of money. When you rent points, there's no tax, and you don't pay extra for more than 2 people in a villa (DVC villas do have a quest limit per villa). You can go to the Disboard's DVC Rent/Trade board to see how this works.

Hope this helped you. DVC can be a bit complicated.
