They released room only codes today for Visa cardmembers that are very close to the AP rates for last June.

Someone posted last year's AP Rate for AKL in June so I wrote them down.
Standard was $114
Sav was $190

Visa code is $134 Standard
Sav was $210

Last year's AP rate for standard at AKL was $124, not $114. I know because we stayed there with the AP rate. This was through the month of June.

Just a quick question that is somewhat related, but not really:

If AP rates are released tomorrow, I'm definitely going to call. Here's my question. The toll free number (877....) connects you to the WDTC. I know Disney is "phasing out" CRO, but I haven't kept up with their progress lately. Can I book a room-only reservation though the WDTC using an AP rate code or do I still need to ask to be connected to CRO? Has anyone used the 877 number and asked to be connected to CRO?
Thanks for any info!

Just wondering if I can apply AP rate and then buy it later... also if a code comes out for everyone could I call and switch to code so I would not have to buy the AP.. thanks..amy

I used 1-800-828-0228 and booked room only. She could do the package or the room only. I cannot remember how she answered the phone though.

:wave2: Does anyone know what the Value Resort price was last year with Ap rate for stays in June. I just booked a room only code using the Disney Visa Code CTV @ $69.00 a night. Just wondered if the Ap rates could be even better. I have an Ap so I might just have to call Disney tomorrow if they are.::MinnieMo

I use the 800-828-0228 number also. The recording says it's Walt Disney Travel Company when they answer, but I've booked with CRO through this number. That's what I did just now did with the Disney Visa offer.

Now I'm hoping they release the APs tomorrow. I asked her but she said she could see nothing in the system. She told me to check tomorrow and switch to the AP discount if it comes out. I booked POFQ but really wanted POR or CBR, which wasn't available (king rooms only). She said that maybe they might be available under the AP discount.

Yes, you can ask for the AP rate without having the AP at the time of making your ressie. Just make sure to buy it before check in. You could also switch to a code if it comes out for the general public even if you have the AP rate already. I did this in 1998 when we had AP rates at BWI. After I booked it, a code for the general public came out (I think it was called "Hot Summer Nights" or something like that). Anyways it was lower than the AP discount, so I switched it to our existing ressies even though we had PAPs already (they were expiring at the end of our trip).

Does it matter if it is CRO or the WDTC when it comes to viewing the AP rates when I call? I just recently started using the toll free numbers when I called to inquire about the ap rates. Does it matter who applies it to my ressie? I just want to be sure I am calling the right people-I can't afford to miss out on the AP rates due to I have a LV at the Poly!::yes::

CRO handles the AP rates. Even though you are calling the WDTC number the CM should be able to switch to CRO's system to apply the discount to your ressies. If the CM you talk to can't do it because they aren't familiar with CRO's system, they will transfer you to someone who can.

Just called and the first person I talked to at WDTC said "nothing" and I asked if they were possibly "pending" and they said NO. Then I tried again and the next one didn't know very much about AP rates and put me on hold and came back and said no ap rates for any dates after April 17. Oh well, maybe the "pending" thing is only on certain CM's computers. At any rate, I will be calling tomorrow at 7AM sharp! We need Tinker bell to put a little pixie dust in it for all of us that are patiently waiting!:Pinkbounc

Just saw the Disney Visa room-only on Mousesavers. Honestly the rates for deluxes aren't that great. I hope some great AP rates are coming out soon.

I just called again just to see what I was told and the CM told me that they are pending. So this is making me feel better and better about the rates being released tomorrow.
