AP Rates are out!

Okay.. I give... What are AP rates? Is that special rates if you have an annual pass? Do you HAVE to have that to get the special rates? This is our second trip this year, but it was unexpected. I can't imagine being able to go to DL more than once a year, so the annual pass just didn't seem good for us...

Yes, AP rates are special rates at the resort property hotels for AP holders. You don't have to have the AP when you book, but you will need it when you check-in to the hotel.

Woo Hoo! I just scored a Courtyard View CONCIERGE room at the Grand Californian Hotel for $279/night!!! We're going Oct 23-27 (3 nights). I tried to add an extra day to the beginning or end, but they were sold out. The CM I spoke to said "you picked good dates!"

I am SO excited. I was thinking it'd be more like $350+ per night for concierge at the Grand WITH an AP rate...

That is a great rate! I may add concierge to my August stay but I am trying to decide if it is worth it at an extra $50 a night. Keep trying back on these rates. I was able to get 12/15 yesterday and when I called last time it was sold out!

Okay - so I have a few questions. I have NEVER been to Disneyland. :sad2: I live outside Orlando - so I have been to WDW hundreds of times... so I am excited about a new experience. We are going on a Disney Cruise out of CA next summer and plan to spend a few nights at Grand Californian before we set sail.
1) We are annual passholders at Disney World here in Orlando. Any chance I could get an AP rate for the Grand Californian using the WDW pass?

2) I called today for reservations (for next July) and was told the rates for 2008 come out next month. Anyone else heard this?

3) Is there a way to get a better rate?

I'm usually the one dishing out Disney advice - so this is new territory for me! I appreciate all the input!

Well crap, you all forced me to call. I was very happy and content with my $99 ent. rate for a Queen Suite at the HoJo this November. But now I have ressies at the DLH for $149. Now I face months of trying to decide which to cancel! :confused3

I am new to this board and am sure this question has been answered but I can not find it. What is the Entertainment Rate? We are annual passholders, is this something to do with that or something different?
Thank you for your help.
