AP rates and questions

in reading over the info at mousesavers.com,
i am really thinking of having my DH or I buy a AP. is it true that only one member of the travel group has to have a AP to get the dicount ? same thing when making the reservation? you dont need to have the pass in hand when you call to make the reservation???

is it a PIA to get the tickets at the park ? we would be arriving via tiffany town car to the resort....so i probly will need to get the AP sent to me before we go? -
do you reccomend this ? are the AP rates lower then reg " for anybody " rates? are there ever AP rates for january ? 2nd- 7th?

we are thinking about this for the discounts etc.....it would work out ( i used the tool on mousavers) equal or even saving $$ for us if 1 person bought the AP .....

depending on the discounts we can get we might be able to add a day or two extra to our trip.....

OK first off Annual pass room discounts are not guaranteed sometimes they have them sometimes they don't.
Yes only one of you needs a pass and you can make reservation with out it in hand but must show it at check in.
It is not hard to activate. once you get to the parks go to guest services outside the park entrance with your voucher and they will give you the pass you then do the finger scan and you are set.
