AP rate???? Would my 13yo qualify for the AP rate

Kind of an odd question but here goes.
We bought AP last month for my husband,13yo and 5 yo. I do not have one,yet.
I am taking my 13yo and 5 yo back in July,my husband cannot make this trip. Would my son's AP ticket,which is the same cost as an adult AP, be enough to qualify for the AP room discount?
I do not have an AP ticket since I have so many days still left.

I will buy one if I have to since we plan on returning again within the year

Unfortunately not. To get the AP discount the room must be booked in thier name and you can't book if you are under 18.
