Hi all,

I'm looking for some opinions, please. I am currently booked for 6/13-6/22 at Pop through AAA with the dining plan for me, my mother, ds 4 and dd 7. Up until my last trip, I always used the AP discounts and we had DDE. The dining plan seemed like a great deal this last time for us, and I'm having trouble trying to decide if I would save more if I just leave things as they are or try to get AP rate (if it comes out) and use DDE, which I need to purchase again before we leave. If AP rates are good encough, I'd like to stay at CSR.

OH, MICKEY! WHY OH WHY CAN'T YOU GIVE THE DINING PLAN TO AP HOLDERS? :confused3

Thanks!
Traci

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you have until 45 days prior to your trip to cancel with AAA. If that is the case, I would hold on to the reservation you have until the AP rates come out (hopefully they will come out before your balance is due!) and then make a decision. It is so hard to predict! And, at least you have a reservation at this point and you will, I hope have a wonderful trip either way!

If the AP codes come out in time and CSR is available, I would jump on it, then cancel your AAA reservation and get your DDE. I know - they really make this hard for people who want dining, it's so much easier when you want room only - just make the room-only reservation with the AAA discount and convert it to AP if you can!

I just wouldn't give up your current reservation now in the hopes of an AP discount. I am afraid you would end up with nothing.

This is exactly what I'm doing. I will be happy with the AAA plus dining package that I have, but would love an AP rate to come out. I would save some money and have the AP for my February trip, too...
