AP Rate Problem

Are there any other AP holders out there that are having the same problem? I'm trying to book some nights for the first weekend in December (1st - 5th). When I log into the web site, I can get those dates because of the 120 day BRP (anyone else hate this program). Ok, fine, I can accept that I'm not in the 120 day window, but I should be able to still reserve a room on the web site as a Passholder. But it doesn't let me.

I called, but was basically told SOL. Do they release December/Holiday dates next month... etc?

I've read that some have called for Nov dates--try calling and see what they say.

When you call to make AP room rate reservations, the system works the same way it has in years past, the allotment of AP rooms might not have been released yet, the allotment of AP rooms might have been exhausted, a new allotment of AP rooms might appear any day, you can cancel as little as 7 days in advance with full refund, etc.

I would guess that the number or rooms available when you call would be less because as soon as AP rates are released, those who booked on line using the new AP rate program (best rate) are automatically and instantly given that rate, which may use up or exceed the AP allotments on some nights.

Yep through the best rate program you are pretty much out because it is less than 120 days out.

Traditional call in rates haven't been released past October 4th. They say that they will do that but I will believe it when I see it.

Last year they didn't come out until August 25th so there is a bit of a wait yet.

Do you have AAA? It would be worth getting your room at the AAA rate now and apply any AP rates - if they do have any avail - later.

I am only paying $2/night more with my AAA rate than the Best rate. Of course this is with a value resort.

You are under the 120 day rule. You have to book at least 120 out and you are trying to book around 111 days out. You missed the time to do this. AP rates might come out. I am waiting too. I am booked at the CR tower Dec 1-7. Hopefully I'll get an ap rate but doubt it due to popularity but at least I have AAA.

What about for stays more than 120 days out? We'd love to best rate for our February 21st arrival, but are not able to. Why not?

Isn't the purpose to get guests to commit in advance? We are ready to send in our $$$$...It is only six months out!

Best Rate is currently available only for arrivals through February 15.

I got a rate by calling in for November, but I believe it may have been a mistake. I'm keeping it, though.
