AP Rate or Package?

Hi Everyone:

We recently took our 4 1/2 year old son to Disney & he LOVED it. Needless to say, it is clear that we will want to go back again soon! :) My question is, the dining package worked well for us this past time (even though it was free). Are we better off sticking with that package each time regardless of whether or not we have to pay for it or should we purchase an AP if we plan to visit twice per year? Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you!

Look into DVC!

We have been AP holders for 3 years, but we have done the dining plan twice (got 1 day base passes). We used our 1 day passes for credit toward our next AP purchase. On our last trip, we bought into DVC so we can purchase the dining plan without buying passes.

If we hadn't bought into DVC, we would still book a package with 1 day passes to get the dining plan if we could get a good package discount. If AP rates were available and no package discount, then we'd do the AP rate. But in terms of having Annual Passes, we definitely get them since we know we'll use them for park attendance.
