AP rate and Dining Plan

Am I correct in saying that by having an AP and getting a BRP discount on your room, you are completely excluded from the option to purchase the current dining plan. I would love to be able to get this, sounds like it might save us some $, but with the AP, it won't work out for us.

Yes, this is correct.

However, if you spend $50 you can get a DDE card which will save you 20% on food and beverages at all sit-down (including buffet and character) restaurants except Japan as well as food courts or counter service where there are no sit-down restaurants. The break-even is $235 because tax is affect by the discount.
