AP questions....

I know that if you are planning two week long trips in a year, that the AP's are the way to go. However, how significant are the room discounts that you get? How far in advance are they available?
Are there any other perks to having AP's other than the room discounts?

They can be quite a range depending on the season you go, up to 40% off room rates.

There are out now for dates of July 5th through Aug 28th and come out every couple of months for the next set.

There are some discounts on some dining, shopping and tours and other things.

The AP discounts for July-August of this year were less impressive than previous years. Value resorts were $30 off the rack rate, moderates were $60 off and deluxes were $85 off. That was regardless of room type or view.

The rates were released on May 5 for stays beginning 7/5 thru 8/28/04.

Sometimes there are no AP rates at all. That happened in September of last year.
