Does anybody know how much an AP cost (children & adult)? I'm not a resident of CA, so I don't think I would be entitled to any discounts. Also, do all AP's come w/ blackout dates? Are these blackout dates usually just holidays? Okay, one more question...does having an AP get you good discounts at the Disney hotels?
Thanks for any info!

Check disneyland.com for prices. At Disneyland, there is no breakup of child & adult all guests 3 and over pay the same price for an AP.

The premium (which is I belive $225) has no block out days. The deluxe (~ $165) has most Saturdays, holiday periods blocked out.

Even if you're not a SoCal resident you can buy a SoCal AP. This is $106 and has the most blackout dates. If you're going during the week or the off season this can be a great deal. With all AP's you can get discounts on the Disney hotels when they're offered. Check these boards, laughingplace.com or disneyland.com to see when they are being offered. Currently, there aren't any listed and I don't know if they'll have any during the summer.

If you're looking mainly for hotel discounts you can also check Expedia.com. They often have good deals at the Disney hotels, though they come up pretty last minute.
