I'm a little confused on how upgrading park hoppers to an annual pass works. I have several trips planned for this year so I'm looking into getting an AP. I'm wanting to get a three day park hopper from the disney website and upgrade. I read that you have to upgrade before you use your last day and I would be going 3/18(fri) and 3/19(sat) so if I upgrade to an AP on sat. would they kick me out since it is a block out day? Thanks for any help you can be. :)

If you upgrade on a blocked day, you can still go into the park on that day, so no worries there! One thing I just want to make sure you're aware of is that if you bought the discounted park hoppers online, you will have to pay the difference between what you paid and the value of the AP, not the ticket-window value of the 3-day hopper. Just a heads up! :)

Thank you so much! Also thank you for letting me know about the prices. I hadn't thought of that. One more question, do I just go to a ticket window if I want to upgrade? Thank you :)

I have never done an upgrade at the parks (I have always bought my AP online) so I can't say for sure. Hopefully someone else will come along!

You can buy your annual pass on a blockout day and stay in the park for that day. We have done this. Also, if you are staying off property you may want to consider buying a tciket with Early Morning hour priviledges, and then upgrading after you use that perk. You will end up paying the same price for the passes, but you may have a really great morning with no lines.:wizard:

No, I mean you can but you will still have to go to the AP proccessing center in one of the park for the picture to be taken and pass made. So why wait in two lines?

Either go with your PH to the AP center on the left at the hub end of Main Street. Or for a shorter wait since it is less crowded, in the Greetings store which is on the left in DCA, the monorail goes over it.

Thank you all so much for your responses. I am stress free now that I have this information and I can figure out what to do. :)

If I buy my AP online, is the renewal day the day that I bought it, or the day I first entered park to 'activate' the AP?
