AP questions

We are first timers and planning a trip Sept 30-Oct 8. It includes myself, DH and DD 3. At what point is the AP worth the money? We are already getting a 9 day park hopper pass and I don't think that it is unrealistic for us to think about going again in a years time frame. I just wanted to facts before I talk to DH about this. I would like to appraoch it as look at all the money we will be saving!!! TIA!!! Anna
