AP Question

I ordered an AP and picked it up from the will-call machines this past August. However, I never once used it or validated it. I only purchased it for the AP rate at the Portofino Bay (we already had the buy-one-get-one-free bonus passes) but the check-in agent never even asked to see it.

Does this mean it has not been activated so will be valid for one year from the first time I use it? Or is it only valid for one year from when I collected it from will-call?

Thanks for any help with this!

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question. I was wondering though how good the AP rate was. We stayed at PBH in July and DH LOVED it. I think he wants to make it an annual trip so an AP would be great if it gives us a good hotel discount.

What did you pick up from will call. Is it a voucher or the actual pass. I would think if it is the actual pass then it is only good for a year from pick up. If it is a voucher that you still have to exchange for a pass then it is good from when you exchange it. Just a guess on my part though.

Thanks. It was the actual ticket we collected, not a voucher. I guess it will expire one year from when we picked it up but I just want to check. Nobody seems to know the answer though!

We had an AP rate of $209/night for a Deluxe Room from August 1 - 5.

What does the pass you received have on it

My voucher I received said on it somewhere 'valid for a single entrance' or something like that. We then had to go to guest services to get the real AP with our photo on it, but as we got our AP's in 2003, I suppose the process could have changed.

What happens if you go to the universal passholder site and key in the number of the pass, I presume if its a valid pass it will let you log in and tell you the pass expiry date.

If you didn't use the ticket to enter the park, it will be good until you use it to enter the park. So if you save it for several months and then go to the park, you will use it to enter the park and will then go to Vacation services to get your real AP. The AP will then expire one year from that date, not the date you picked up the ticket from will call. Just don't lose the ticket as they are almost impossible to replace.

i agree with the last poster. i also picked up from will call and it isn't the actual pass but a one-time ticket to get into the park and you have to go to vacation services to get the actual laminated photo ID. Picking up the ticket doesn't register until you first use it. same as if you picked up 5 day passes which i have done and it didn't start counting until the day we 1st used them.
