AP question

I bought AP's for my oldest daughter and myself. We are planning a trip for just the 2 of us in a few months so this was the best deal. I bought them online so we saved some money. My question is- we get to the parks on a Thursday early evening. I'd like to process the AP's so we won't have to wait in line the next day. However, DH won't be there yet and I have my 2 other kids. Will they let them into the park just for us to process our cards?

I had a moment of panic after I bought them. We had originally purchased from GAT and so got 2 MM's. My original plan was to upgrade on Sunday, after using both MM's. But I got the online deal. I thought, oh no, I just gave up my MM's. But then I realized that since we're staying on-site, we get them.

Part of the processing involves taking pictures. They have to have pictures of each of you. So while you can get yours done, you can't get them done for your hubby or the kids who won't be there.

Doing yours before will save time the next day, though, so there's nothing wrong with it.

Though before I state that...are there any blocked out days during your stay?

No, there aren't any blocked out days. I only got the AP's for myself and one of my kids. Will they let the other 2 kids (who don't have AP's) in the park with me just so I can process them? If not, it will have to wait until the next day. I thought there was some sort of pass where they'll let you in for an hour or so.

I assume the other kids just have tickets for the number of days you're planning for this trip, without any extra days?

I really doubt they'll let you in to do that with kids that don't have tickets for that day. They would have no way of knowing what you're planning and if you're really planning what you say you're planning.



They used to have a shopping pass, where you give them your cc info and they let you in for an hour. If you're not back inside an hour they charge a one day ticket for you. But I recently read that that is no more. Would have been a good idea, though, for you!


Sounds like you'll have to wait until the next day, and you and your older daughter can just run into the AP processing center while hubby and other kids are doing something else...there are often characters in that area, or maybe they could ride a horse-drawn vehicle up and down the street while you're in the center?

Thanks for answering! We'll just plan on doing it the next day. All kids will be with me since DH isn't coming until the next day. Where is the processing center? Is it the bank?

Yes, the bank, over to the right through the tunnel.

Especially since it's just the two of you getting APs it won't take that long, I'm sure, once you're up at the counter with a CM.
