How do people get emails to receive notifications of AP promos for room discounts, etc? I have never been informed of anything and would really like to get these emailssy

Is there somewhere where the info is posted online? Or somewhere where I can sign up for the emails?

Thanks!
Babs

Sorry moderators!, if this is in the wrong forum! I didn't know where to put it, so please move if desired.

Hi there @Babsy - I'm not sure Disney actually announces anything (?), or if they do, I don't get them either. What I do is subscribe to threads around here, pay attention to the Mousesavers historical dates so I know when to 'really' be paying attention, and I follow a few blogger/Disney types on Twitter that tend to put out blurbs about that kind of stuff. Not the most effecient setup in the world, I admit.

I use the passholder website [https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passholder-program/] for information on room discounts, etc. Once in a blue moon, I receive an email that pertains to AP discounts, and I always find it in my spam folder despite repeatedly marking the address as not spam.

Hi there!

I guess that i don't know either, but I have read of invitations to preview events such as Pandora, for example.

Also, when in WDW last Jan DH and I were passing along American Gardens Theatre when there was a ticketed event (by invitation) for AP's. When I spoke to a CM they provided tickets for us at the last minute (we were very excited), but I keep wondering how people get the information to get tickets to these type of pass holder events. Also, people seem to get room discount information directly somehow.

Like you, I watch websites like the Dis and call WDW (and we all know how well telephone CM's are informed! LOL) for information, but I have never received an email invitation or current additional information about my AP.

It would be nice to know about these things and have an opportunity to take part sometimes. Obviously, I am not alone in being a bit 'left out of the loop'.

Thank goodness for the Dis!!!!!

I check spam occasionally, but it would be possible for emails to end up there without my noticing! Thank you for sharing. I will start checking my spam more regularly!!!

Twitter has really helped out a few times for me. I would have been clueless about the Pandora AP preview last month if not for the tweets I saw about it. Without it I wouldn't have even known it was being offered until long after all the spots were full. (I did actually get an e-mail about that event days later!)

I receive the passholder newsletter via email.
