AP prices increased [6/18/2019]

I'm also curious as to whether the Sams or TAW annual passes are transferable if I want to assign them to another family member.

For that matter...do you indicate when you buy them who the recipient is?
Yes it said you had to put a name that was NOT transferable. Asked name dob and address.

Sams are not assigned until you put them in MDE and they can be transferred in the app.

Most people get the 2nd email with confirmation # you need to link to MDE within the hour as stated.

If you don’t get that email then email : contact@samsclubtix.com OR respond to email they sent you ordersummary@samsclubtix.com

I did both so not sure which worked but I did get my email eventually.

I linked to my MDE with no issues.
Can you make FPs with these vouchers if you have not activated them yet? I've never had a voucher for my AP so I'm trying to think of any downside to getting one now. I would love to get these now and have them ready to go when we go back.

Yes. The AP vouchers act as the ticket entitlements that are necessary to be able to make FP's in advance.

I put my name when buying 3 passes but when I put them in MDE I assigned them to DH,DS and DD.

So let's say - in the example of your family - that you had 3 kids rather than 2 - and you decided you'd rather give the AP assigned to your DH to this 3rd (adult) child - are they transferable...at a later date... once assigned in MDE?

I'd get two AP's through TAW but I'm not sure if my older son - when he hits college - could use it and if not I'd rather get use out of it at a later date if that makes sense!

Sneaky buggers. Why do they say non transferable ? Glad it worked !

I believe all Disney tickets have that language. You are allowed to purchase for someone else although they do have to qualify for the ticket/ap if it's a special type. Until it's used it can be transferred. Once used then it's non-transferrable.

Yes, as long as the pass has not been used it is transferable in MDE.

It's been several hours for me, ordered early this afternoon and no email other than my confirmation of purchase. I think it's probably going to be tomorrow before I get it judging by what it said in the confirmation.
It's been about 5 hours since I received the confirmation email. I called and was told that their system is very slow and to give it 24 hours.

Did the Sam’s prices just increase? I’m seeing a higher price for APs. I wasn’t going to join if the price jumped up...

Just purchased on Sam's Club. My current AP's are good through April 8th, 2020. I'll probably use these in 2021! Thanks for the heads up Disboarders!! I used to be very active on here but haven't been in a few years, been a member since 2003! Glad I decided to see what everyone was saying about the price increase, your info just saved me $500! Probably be a bigger savings when you see what the prices will be in 2021!

Sorry if this has been addressed, but looking for some advice from the My Disney Experience experts.

We currently have passes that expire in Jan 2020 and will be taking our final trip with these passes in Dec 2019. I just bought new passes from Sams that we want to use starting July 2020. I’d like to load the new passes into MDE, but don’t want to cause any unintended consequences having two APs loaded at once. Has anyone done this and did things go smoothly?

When I explained everything to my DH yesterday & said I was going join Sams club & buy 2 vouchers for our future use, he was skeptical. Kind of “don’t get involved in all that stuff”.

Today he was reading about the increase on his MSN homepage & had coworkers asking him about it. He started asking more questions about the vouchers, how many could you buy, when could you use them etc. Ended up with “so you could buy like 10 of them & use them for years even if the prices keep going up.” Like he wanted us to buy more.. .. had to remind you could buy that many, but you’d need $10K now to get that many, and have that money tied up for years. Guess he got a little caught up in my “spend money to save money” Disney math. 🤣

Just fyi, Sams Club still has the old pricing online. Grab em while you can

I believe it was this ^ post that first shared the info about the Sam’s Club APs. Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. While I did know that discounted multi-day tickets are available at many resellers, I had absolutely no idea that APs could be purchased anywhere other than directly from Disney.

Take a bow @PrincessNelly! Your kind post saved many people a lot money!

I added to placeholder names to my friends and family IE-john and jane doe, assigned the AP to them, then when I plan to use the AP-I will just transfer them to me. (current AP expires in December)
