AP price just went up, too?

I am a rookie (December 2005) :cool1: DVC member. I have been following this thread and trying to decide if I should purchase an AP or not. I will be returning to WDW in February for 5 (park) days and will probably return again in December 2005. I was going to purchase a 7 day (non expiring) Park Hopper. After reading this thread I am beginning to wonder if I would be better off purchasing an AP (advise). Also where do I go to purchase an AP online?

Here's what I do:
*Just figure how many days you will actually be at WDW, and divide up the DVC AP cost.
*After you figure that, take a look at the list of dining discounts the AP can give you--they also give you 10 percent off of purchases at the DD World of Disney store.
**Point to remember: DVC and AP discounts often mirror each other, so take a look at the differences: do you really need the AP discount?

My favorite things about buying an AP:
**I go in and out of the parks at will without feeling like I'm wasting a day off my ticket.
**Access to the Disney Dining Experience discount program--can save you a decent amount of money, but will cost you an additional $50 or so in order to join.
Since we are usually down there at least 2x's a year, the AP is a good value for us.
Hope that helps

Forgot to put this in my post: you can get your DVC discounted AP or premium AP by going through the DVC website. they have a link which takes you to the ticket online sale page.

I did some math and the new AP price (with our discount) is equiv to an 8 day non expire hopper.

AP is definitely worth it if you take more than one trip a year for a total of eight days or more. Annmarie

I got 2 dvc premium ap and the price went up $50.00 for 2 so I saved $50.00 just in time
