Hi,

Just curious if anyone knows when the AP price increase will come down the pike? I'm not going to the World until Sept 2005, but I sure want to purchase my APs before that happens since the vouchers don't have a time limit on them.

Good question. We're looking at going in Sept '05 too and possibly taking up to four trips within a year from that date. This is our first time getting and using AP's. I don't know how much they increase per year but I don't think I'm going to risk it so I may try to save the money up soon and just get them.

The woman in the Disney Store locally said that prices usually go up in November or January, depending on how Disney Co. feels. I just know that a lot of people on here get some good inside info, so I hope they might know for sure.

Uh-oh, I better start saving if they may increase the price in November! :( That doesn't give me lots of time when you're talking two adults and two children!!

I almost forgot...

Welcome to the DIS boards!!!

She may only be trying to help but she's wrong. AP's went up in November once in 1994 and in January twice (2000 & 2001).

The increases in the past five years have been:

March 2004 - PH/PHP's (Gate & Advance), AP/PAP's, FL Seasonal
February 2004 - UPH's (Gate & Advance)
June 2003 - all gate prices except AP/PAP
September 2002 - across the board
January 2001 - across the board
January 2000 - across the board

Disney does everything it can to raise the prices and not be predictible. You'll notice that AP's went up in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004 but not in 2003.

As far as the OP's question, you will not see another AP price increase in 2004. They never raise the price twice in the same year. But since the information has already leaked out about the increase in UPH's for early 2005, I'd say it would be a good bet that AP's will go up again sometime in the first quarter of 2005. General range of increase can run from $10 (low end) to $20 (high end).
