We may not be able to enter US until 5pm on offseason closing time of 6pm. I was wondering if we could at least get the AP processing completely then and maybe one ride. It really wouldn't be worth trying if the AP processing place ever closes before the park does. Thanks.

Vacation Services stays open until park closing except on HHN. It is not open during HHN but is open until HHN starts

i would be surprised if you were able to complete AP processing AND get in one ride within the hour.
If you do, buy a lotto ticket, it is your lucky day!!!! :smooth:

it does get backed-up after the first fifteen minutes the park is opened. :)

Hmm, I thought there would be nobody there to do their APs at the end of the day during off season. They would have done it when they came in. Oh well, not sure I can make it there anyway. Still think the earliest any park should close is 7pm. 6pm seems sooooo early.

I just received in the mail the Costco 90-day passes that I ordered online. (Btw, they came faaaaaast! I wouldn't pay for the expedited shipping unless I was leaving within a week).
Anyway, we are staying onsite at RPR, checking in sometime in the afternoon on Sunday/Nov 5, checking out Tuesday/Nov 7. (We have to drive from the Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island area to Orlando, not sure exactly when we'll get to the Uni area - have a cousin getting married Saturday afternoon.)

*So*, my questions are:
These seem to be just "vouchers". They say on the front "Admit One Guest",
on the back "MUST OBTAIN PHOTO ID" and (in smaller letters) "2 park preferred Annual Pass - Ticket not valid after first admission".
Do I have to get these 'vouchers' activated at the parks?
If so, where is the closest place to RPR to do that?
Can I get them activated at RPR? We are staying Club level, can the Club concierge activate them?

Thanks in advance for any advice. It's our first trip to US/IOA, also our first time in one of their resorts, so we are true newbies and don't know our way around like we do over at WDW.

Your "real" passes will be issued to you at vacation services in either park. Your vouchers are what gets you in the gates the first time. You don't need to get those activated. Just go right up to the gates and you can enter the parks. But do not leave before you go to vacation services (right inside the gates of either park) and get your actual passes.

As for getting from RPR to the parks, you can walk along a gorgeous path - it is a short 7-15 minute walk (depending if you are strolling or walking quickly) or hop the boat. You can catch the boat out behind the pool.

Feel free to ask any questions on this board. The experts here are a great group of people and are really helpful. They have helped us tremendously with our vacations.

You will enter the park with the Cosco ticket and go to Vacation Services to get your 3 month pass. They will take your picture and you will get a credit card size plastic pass with your picture on it. You can do this at either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure Vacation Services inside the parks. You can't do it at the hotels as they don't have cameras to take your picture and don't have the machine to make your pass.

if you booked your stay at rph using the ap discount rate, don't worry.

check into rph and tell them you have to wait until you go to the park to activate your ap. no problem

once you have your ap in hand, stop in at the front desk to show proof of it.

sometimes you get an employee that tells you they will not adjust the room rate until you acitvate the ap. no problem. they will once you show them the ap during the stay.

and, some employees will just tell you it is fine by showing you the voucher.
they know you have to have that voucher processed to use it for the parks.

it took me a total of 3 minutes to have my ap done this month.
