I am fixing to purchase an AP. Is it good for one year from the date of purchase or the date of the first use? I may not need to use it right away (7 or 8 months). I was going to go on and buy it if it would start from the date of use.
Thanks!

If you buy a voucher from The Disney Store or over the phone, it will be good 1 year from when you redeem it at WDW. The only way that would be effective immediately is if you bought the actual pass, at WDW or an offsite location such as the Orlando Airport.

Will the voucher from the Disney Store be acceptable for AP discount when I check in at a WDW resort with a passholders discount?

Yes, you can check in with the AP voucher.

You're suppossed to have the real AP.

In reality almost anyone can use the AP room discounts. I have only been asked to show the AP when checking in at the AKL.

I was not asked for it at Coronodo, Beach Club, or Poly.
