Could someone tell me if the AP also includes free self parking at the hotels. I did a search but can't seem to find the answer. TIA.

I could be wrong but I believe the answer is no everyone pays for parking at hotels:mad:

I'm sure SpideyHulk answered that recently but where I don't know........perhaps do a search on him, I mean on his posts.....;) ....:D

I know this for a fact that AP does not give you free parking at the hotels :( We were bummed about this but...we got over it quickly. :p

Ditto. They don't. But to stay on site, I do not mind paying for parking at all. The good news is that it's cheaper than at the parks. It's only $6 a day instead of $8.

The downside to the hotel parking as opposed to the garage is that hotel parking is outdoor, uncovered. This is really noticeable in August. Though I doubt any of you natives will feel sorry for me!

Thanks everyone. I love this board and the quick info!

You've got to pay to to park in an on site hotel even if you're a guest? That sucks, it really does.

Methinks Universal are trying to be as greedy as Disney, I'm a big Universal fan but the universal express plus is a disgrace (ontop of the entry fee) and the obvious limiting of normal express passes that is going on.

Thank god for their happy hours though:)

What happens if you are an AP holder, you park your car in the normal garage for free (as entitled) and then leave it there overnight? This isn't really releated to the above but I was just wondering, especially as many people must do this attending city walk and having a drink!

The space is limited and they have to make a living too......:p

But really, I felt the same way until I saw how convenient it was.

I only left my car over night in the parking garage once. I was staying offsite on Major Blvd, there was a tropical storm on the way, and I asked a parking attendant if it would be okay (he said "yes").

I don't know what the "official" policy is, but I imagine they would want to discourage the practice. Still, I would imagine a few cars get left over night almost every night. (Car trouble, lost keys, drunks taking taxis home, etc.)

If you do it, I would recommend moving your car every day. A car sitting in the same spot, night after night, will definitely get noticed. (Come to the parking garage after CityWalk's 2am closing and you'll see how the few cars left really stick out!)
