AP or MYW tickets - Questions

We have 2 trips planned for 2005. On one trip we will visit the parks for 2 days, on the second it will be for 5 days. Tell me if I have this right - We could buy 2 day and 5 day MYW tickets for about $330 OR we could buy APs with our DVC discount for $315. It seems to me the APs would be the better bet so we could get any benefits that come with it such as the discount on the DDE card and room discounts for a possible third trip before the APs expire. Does this sound right? Thanks!

We just made this same decision last week. Our circumstances are slightly different, but we decided to go with the 10MYW non expiring hopper ticket. ($340 from ticketmania). We were going to do the AP with our DVC discount, but we are really points poor after this next trip in Feb. and I don't think that we'll get back within the year. So this way we'll end up with 4 days left for later, even if its not until next year. You would still have 3 days for another trip if you bought the 10 day, for about the same as you were going to spend on seperate tickets for each trip. Have fun on your trip!

I just went to Disney's site and the 10MYW non expiring hopper tickets are $332. Looking for a good deal on tickets, but every site I find listed on this board - when I go to the site their prices are slightly higher than www.waltdisneyworld.com. Am I missing something? Why not just order from Disney??

When you look at Disney's rates, you need to add sales tax and shipping charge to compare apples to apples.

The DisneyWorld ticket prices that you are looking at do not include tax & shipping charges. Most all of the other ticket brokers prices include tax, and ticketmania offers free shipping! So almost anywhere else is cheaper than ordering from Disney directly.

If you get a 7 day MYW hopper with no expiration to use for those two trips, it is only $286 for an adult ticket (from Ticketmania).

Do you have to have Disney ship the tickets or can you pick them up at your resort or at one of the parks when you arrive?
