AP Human Geography Exam?

Has anyone's child on here taken it? Difficulty level? Any tips?

My daughter took it her freshman year. She is normally an A student. I think she pulled an 85 in this class. It was really hard. She came home with two or three hours of homework each day. I think she even had a C at some point. It was very difficult for her and she is used to taking at least three AP classes, plus raising a pig for show, and participating in academic teams. So is used to having a full schedule.

You're not old, it's a weird title for the class!

It focuses on the geography of people - like religions, GDP, some cultural aspects, etc in different regions and countries around the world.

It's almost like it has some anthropology mixed in there.

DD had a flaky AP Human Geo teacher, gone a lot and not organized. Even with that and the fact that DD barely studied she still got a 4 so not a terribly hard test.
She found APUSH the hardest so far but them again she isn't a big history fan.

My DD is having difficulty with APUSH also. We know when she has SAQ questions that she will be in her room studying and we won't see her except at dinner.

I hope my son does well in APUSH. He's on his academic team and his specialty is social studies, but primarily history. He skipped the freshman history (it's escaping me what class it is now), and was put into Sophomore Advanced World Civ and in there the teacher doesn't make him do all the assignments prior to the tests (he's on the gifted track, so they can make modifications for him), so I'm hoping he does well in APUSH. It usually comes down to the writing for him.

Yes, my daughter took it 2 years ago and got a 5. I think the key is that they did a lot of outlining in class, so they were prepared for the exam without any major studying. My son is taking it this year, we’ll see how he does, but I expect him to get a 4 or a 5, it’s not terribly difficult according to the students.
