AP hotel/resort discounts

Interested in hearing first-hand accounts of AP WDW hotel/resort discounts.

Last year I was able to book the Poly at Christmas for $190/night with all taxes. The rate rack was over $350. This year I have the AKL Savannah view for $168/night with all taxes. I believe the rack rate was close to $300. I have found that the AP more than pays for itself with the room discount. Don't forget that there are other discounts including 50% off mini golf (including up to three guests), 10% off at the World of Disney in DTD, 15% off various WDW tours, and discounts at several sit-down restaurants.
