I am pretty sure that I did not have to call to see the discount at that time either. The only time I remember making a call to customer service for a trip was last year after I had booked something and couldn't make the change needed online that had nothing to do with annual passes.This has always been possible fwiw, but previously the site would not let you actually see the AP rates online with an unactivated pass, you had to call up for it. Apparently it's that second part that's changed.
