We became AP holders last year during our Halloween trip so we didn't look / couldn't book any AP rates at onsite hotels. We plan to stay at GCH this year and I'm wondering if they normally do those AP rates during that time since they probably don't really need to! I have used those AP hotel deals twice since becoming an AP holder and I love the Fast Pass and dining voucher, and of course the deal on the room. Any know if they typically offer deals in the Fall?

Just an FYI, you do not need to currently hold a valid AP at your time of booking to get or book an AP rate. You just have to call for the rate vs log in online and you just have to present the AP before the last day of your stay to maintain that rate....so if you are planning a trip and planning on getting an AP you are eligible to book an AP rate.

Interesting! I did not know that - could've maybe saved some money last year...if they were offering the deal...which brings me to my question, should I expect AP rates for end of September or beginning of October?

I do remember seeing some good AP rates at the end of Sep last year. Also keep in mind that Gay Days is usually the first weekend in Oct and those rates blow the AP rates out of the water. We're talking $249 for GCH, but of course that would not include the fastpass and the dining voucher like the special AP rate.

I seem to remember the rates usually in August, but let me see if I can pull up my old emails. I find that teh Southern Ca Select Pass blacjout dates are usually a pretty good indicator of busy/non-busy, but let me check.

Just checked last 2 years Disney Destinations emails show from mid-Aug to Sept 26-29ish

Oh that'd be cool because we're leaning towards September 27-30. Do you have the date when you received the email, like when they were released?

Are the rates for just the weekend or the days leading up and following? And how do I book these rates?

Last year, I received the email on Aug 19th. I find it best to call and talk to someone, cause they always seem to be able to view "hidden"/saved rooms that you otherwise can't book online etc. 1-714-781-4567
