AP Hotel Rates for January 2010?????????

Just wondering if anyone has heard a word on when these rates might pop up?
We go every Jan and I know they always have AP rates for that month (however not in the 1st week usually) but they do.
I have not seen them pop up yet and I am getting rather impatient as I feel I really can't plan until our room ressies are taken care of and I know I can for sure get the rate on the nights we are booking.

Anyhow if anyone hears a word or knows something I don't know will you please post what you know in this thread

I was just looking at the Hotel Calendar on the AP site and they do have January up, but the rates don't seem discounted at all. The rates for all 3 hotels for the month of January are all showing higher than they are listed during both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am hoping that is because they haven't adjusted them to reflect discounts yet. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Well at least I am not alonein the waiting game.
I spoke with Disney tonight and they still have no idea when or if the AP rates for January will come out according to the gentleman I spoke too.

I do know that for the past 6 years they have had AP rates in January because we have used them so I do expect that this won't change especially with the economy and I did some research and found that the AP rates for January 2009 did not come out and become available until early December 2008 so I guess we may have a wait, but I am hoping that they will go ahead and get those rates out by mid November.

Well as soon as I hear I will post to the baords if someone doen' beat me to it......so for now I wait and wait and wait and dream and try to plan as much as I can and make sure I get on the computer at least 1x a day to check DIS boards out and the DL website out to wait and wait some more for those rates daily

What kind of rates might they have for Jan? I am buying an AP on my next trip and will be returning in Jan. I might be willing to say goodbye to my hojo stay in exchange for some Paradise Pier action!

Not real sure what they will have for the PP I know they have been going up eery year but it usually was around $129.00 (not including the resort fee of course)

I will give a list of examples (that I can remember off the top of my head) of times we went and which hotel we stayed at and what the rate was for AP's:

January 2nd - 8th 2005 ( I remember these exact dates because we were on our honeymoon) at GCH = 179.00 a night for a down town disney district view (after staying in all the different view rooms this one is my very favorite)

March 2005 cant remember the dates at PP = $79.00 a night for theme park view upper level

January 2006 cant remember dates at GCH = $199.00 for a courtyard view

March 2006 cant remember dates at DLH = $79.00 (super great rate) downtown disney view upper level

January 2008 cant remember dates at GCH = $209.00 courtyard view up graded to theme park view

June 2008 Dates were either the 6th or the 8th for 1 night for the AP preview of TSM that we won a viewing of for DLH = $159.00 a night and we were upgraded upon arrival to a 1 bedroom suite.

October 20th 2008 at GCH = $229.00 a night.

January 2009 can't remember dates at GCH = $239.00 a night theme park view and we stayed 3 the hotel was so empty that on the morning of checkout we woke up to a letter slipped under our door with our bill that said they were offering current guest an oppportunity to stay more nights at a rate of $129.00 a night.....we couldn't stay and I cried

anyhow these are examples, I could go through all my past receipts and pull up many more stays through the years and give the ap rates we got if anyone is interested so you can kind of figure out the trend, just let me know?

We will be staying at the DLH this coming January as I am ready for a little change because we often stay at the GCH and I want a change of pace.

Thanks for the info! I too am waiting for better Jan. rates for our next vacation.
