I had a problem with my annual pass renewal this week...this needed 20 minute "discussion" with TM to fix. TM could not find renewal in system, and after trying a few things, talked to her lead, and they told me I could have one day pass but that I would need to call AP department and prove I paid for it. (I had the order confirmation printed, with their order number). I insisted they call AP department, which they eventually did, but they really tried not to help -- eventually it all worked out. 
They determined, talking to the TMs in the room who were overhearing the issue, that the problem was: when you renew online you also need to call to activate.
Sounds wrong -- but just wanted to pass it along for anyone else who renewed online -- you might want to give the call to check a try. Be sure you print and bring paperwork!!!
