AP Expiry Date Question

If I have a 5 day park hopper and want to upgrade before the end of my last day in the park what would the expiry date of my AP be?

Just as an example ~~~ I use the park hopper on May 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and on the 5th of May I go to the ticket booth to upgrade to an AP, would my AP expiry date be May 5, 2016? Or would it be May 1, 2016, based on the 1st day I used my parkhopper?

From Disneyland's Annual Pass Terms and Conditions webpage:
"If an upgrade to a Passport is made from a multi-day ticket, the Passport will be backdated to begin on the first day that such ticket was used..."
