AP Events in August?

We are AP holders. Last time we went in May there was an event for AP holders with upcoming expiration. They got exclusive use of the park for a night. We were guessing they would do another event in Aug but haven't heard anything. We signed up for email notification but haven't seen an event since May. We just get promo email. Anyone know if they'll do an AP event in August? Thx!

It seems like a very good possibility that they might do something in August---they've had something for AP Holders several of the last few times we've been, but(as SMD said---no emails about them), and they weren't announced/posted in Park until day of.

The specific events the OP is referring to have been done for the expiring in a window, and I do believe they sent emails but for sure physical mailers, for (most of) those expiring in the window. It required advanced online registration and was done quite a few weeks prior to the event. That unfortunately means it's not likely to occur during August. my expiration is September and I was included in the last one, so my guess is the next one will occur late Sept or possibly even October.

On Twitter they said the next one will be Sept. 2nd and on Facebook they said there will be rolling AP anniversary events next year based on expiration. Again, if you want to ask for details, I'd check social media, as they would have the answers.

Most of the stuff I found on Disneyland AP facebook has been promos for products or vacation packages. Couldn't find anything on major events in August- Muppet preview was the only thing.

Thanks for the details on the AP after hours event. Sept 2- sounds like fun. How do you find that post in Twitter? I'm not logged in- no account. Do I need to login?

The Muppets screening may be the only event in August. Considering that I can hardly remember an AP event from 2005-2011, even 1 in a month is pretty good. (And I've had an AP since before 2005 and definitely used to go to events.)

You can read the Twitter feed in a web browser. You can view replies to see questions they've answered or just their tweets. You might want to make a Twitter account and only follow DLR accounts. Then you can turn on notifications from some accounts when you go on a trip, and ignore them the rest of the time.

If you're only following the DL AP Facebook page in your feed, you're probably not seeing all their posts, because Facebook charges a fee to show posts to all followers. Go directly to their page to read everything.
