does anybody know when and if AP discounts for January will become available? Do they usually release them after visa and general public discounts?

They are released after the GP discounts. Last year they were released on 10/23/2014.

I was just getting ready to post this!!! Visa discounts were real eased a little early this year so I'm hoping for AP any day now. I'm hoping for at least a 30%. Visa seems a little smaller this year though.

Hoping that there are a lot of empty rooms so that the AP discount will be big . But I'm thinking it will just be 5% better than the GP discount as that seems like the norm. Gosh if they would just come out and also JetBlue would reduce our flight-home cost, then I could be completely set for our Easter trip!

Sure hope so! Some people on the February code thread have said they've booked the AP discount over the last week or 2, but it's not available for me. I keep looking online and calling....I wish it would end lol. I have a feeling the AP rate won't beat my Orbitz deal anyway, but it'd be nice to have some closure.

They are finally out, managed to update all my ressies for January except for Contemporary had to let it go as couldn't get a reduced rate of any kind for that one - oh well gives me a reason to come back again in a few years when all the park updates have been done.

Glad I booked with the GP offer - all of the standard rooms are gone for my dates, so the additional 5% discount with the AP actually ends up costing me more as I would have to go with a more expensive room type.

No, it's a separate discount. You can choose one or the other.

My Orbitz deal beat AP deal at Pop by $50. I imagine most AP holders are better off with Orbitz this winter. It's a shame, really. Seems like AP rates should be some of the best.
