AP discounts for Home-Away-From-Home resorts?

Has anyone ever gotten a discount on a Disney villa resort? We got an AP discount a few years back on a DI Fairway Villa, but we've never tried a villa resort since then. I'd like to do something like that for our trip in 2004, but I'm curious as to what discounts (if any) folks have been able to get on any of the villa accomodations.

We just used our AP Discount for the BWV (Can you tell?). It saved us $145 a night on a 1 beddroom. We were also able to apply other codes that were released earlier and then we finally were able to apply our AP code when it was released.

In August 2002, I had an AP discount for a 1 bdrm at Old Key West.

This year, I have the Fairy Tale Package for a 1 bdrm at Boardwalk Villas.

OKW had a 1 bedroom AP rate for May, I believe it was $270 plus tax (rack $385).

You might want to look into renting DVC points too. They generally go for $10 a point and can work out to be quite a good deal. For instance....using the quote given in the post above I just checked the point requirement for middle of May at OKW for a 1 bedroom. For a Friday & Saturday it was pretty steep (48 points/$480) so not the best value I'll admit, but for the rest of the week it was only 20/$200 points a night and of course, you don't have to add tax to that cost, so depending on how long you stay - overall it could work out cheaper. You'd also have the bonus of being able to definately lock in the price in advance rather than having to wait for a code to come out.

It might not work out for your particular circumstances, but it's something to consider

I just got a studio at OKW at an AP rate. Cant' wait to try this as it will be a new resort for us.
