AP discounts for HHN tickets at Royal Pacific Resort?

If you purchase HHN tickets at an onsite hotel (Royal Pacific in my case), will they sell them at the Annual Pass rate, provided you have an AP of course? Or does the AP rate only apply for tickets purchased online?

You can purchase HHN tickets online or at the gate and receive the AP discount. I don't know if you can purchase tix at the hotel.

We tried to buy three reg. tickets 2 years ago at the Portofino & they told us we need to buy them at the park's gate.
