AP discount vs Wedding group discount

Has anyone ever called to see if the AP discount turns out to be better than the wedding group discount they give you? The only problem with this is that I won't be able to find out what the actual AP discount is until it is closer to October. So if anyone has called to find out, could you please tell me which discount was better? TIA!!

For my wedding in October the AP rate was better for the value and moderates, but the wedding rate was much cheaper for the deluxe.

Catherine, I'm sure the AP rate will be better... its usually about the same as the FL resident discounts... which are WAY WAY BETTER than the wedding rates.

Thanks for the info ladies! So do u think it would be better for me to wait and not book my room until the AP rates for October come out? Or should I book with the group rate now and cancel later?

You can always book now and cancel later... that way you wont worry about not having anyplace to stay

Our wedding discount was way better than the AP rate for Deluxes, and when I called to check the AP rate at the Values, they were all sold out - thank goodness we'd booked with the wedding discount when we did!

Here's another vote for booking with the wedding discount now and checking AP rates later...
