AP discount question

I am an annual pass holder and have a question regarding the discounts. Before the time of magic bands, when making purchases, I would have to show my AP card and if I paid with my debit card, the names would have to match. I once made the mistake of giving my girlfriends debit card cause I was in charge of all the park passes/ID's/debit cards (same bank account) and obviously the names didn't match so I was scolded a little by the CM! For this trip we're nervous about which debit card to link to the magic band. We love the convenience of not having to carry a wallet around, just bringing ID's. My real question is, is there any way for them to match anymore without physically having the card present and scanning your band? I'm not trying to get by on Disney, and I understand the need for the CM's to check that the name on the credit card matches so that the discount isn't abused... Just wondering, if I scan the band and it's linked to her card will they not allow it to go through with my AP discount?

Even w/ MB I am some times asked for my ID so be prepared for that. They just verify that I am the MB holder. I usually us gift cards to pay for everything because I get them on discount at Sam's club so I usually don't use my CC. Someone else may comment on their experience on that.

Now it's your passholder card + legal ID that needs to match. Last trip it was my CC on the account but my daughter was using her passholder card to band charge and there was no problem at all.
