AP Discount on MNNSHP and MVMCP- ever "blocked out"?

My understanding is that AP holders can get discounts on these tickets when purchased day of event only. We are going in early Oct and also the 2nd week of Dec and I'm figureing we'll do these on Tuesday nights, rather than Fri or Sunday nights. What do you think is the possibility that we won't be able to get in with the discount? We've actaully been to both before, so while they are truly a lot of fun and I'd love to go, I 'm tempted to just try to purchase tickets that day. If it was a sell out, I'm not sure I'd want to go anyway. Any thoughts or experiences?

We were at the MNSSHP on October 8 and it was a sellout. Really surprised us, as well as a lot of Poly guests that waited to purchase till they arrived. Glad I had ordered ours in August!

We go on Sunday or Tuesday night in early December and have bought our tickets the day before with no problem. One time we even bought day of the party and had to pay extra. That happened because the weather was really bad (non-stop rain) and when it cleared up in the afternoon, I ran and bought them. That was a Tuesday, my other option was Thursday (we were leaving Friday). It was worth the extra money because Thursday night turned out to be another washout.
