AP discount and purchasing MVMCP tix ???

HI. I read in the Mickey Monitor that we can get a 25% discount on "at the door" tickets to the two parties on select dates. How risky is it to wait and purchase your tickets on-site? Do these sell out? Or does Disney choose dates that are the least likely to sell out to give the AP discounts to?

thanks. Just trying to decide if I should go ahead and purchase ours in May or wait until we get there and buy them at a discount.

It is actually somewhat difficult to know exactly what the rules will be by the wording in the Mickey Monitor.

Another new passholder perk is that you can now enjoy a 25% discount on tickets to Disney's Night of Joy, Mickey's Not-So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The discount is available on select nights, based on availability, and applies to "Day Of" admission price only. It does not apply to "Advance Sales" admission price. It could be interpreted to mean that that we can order these tickets in advance with the 25% discount, but that the 25% discount is off of the "gate price" and not the already discounted "Advance Sales" price. I think we need to wait and see when they update the passholder site in June.

Thanks. I see that you are right about the wording. Giving themselves some wiggle room! That's okay by me. I'd rather purchase them in advance withe the 25% discount. Either way...
