AP-dedicated tapstiles at park entrance

Very excited to have just gotten my first-ever Annual Pass! I remember reading on this board in the past about tapstiles dedicated to Passholders at the park entrances, but I can't for the life of me find them now using the search function. A few questions -

Do they have these tapstiles at every park? Do they get you in the park any earlier, or do they open up with all of the other tapstiles? I have a trip planned in September that will be me and a friend who does not have an AP. Will she be able to go through the AP line with me? Any other tips or tricks I should know about?

There are signs that show which ones are for AP holders, but I've found they're typically always over to the far right at each park. Your friend will not be able to go with you however.
To be honest, it's a crap shoot as to whether this line is shorter or not. When I was there last week, they would only have one stand open, and sometimes it took longer to go through that way.

Agree with everything PP said but we have had some CM tell us that we can bring anyone with us even if they don't have an AP so that part seems to be very CM dependent.

The line has been longer like 50% of the time I've thought about using it.

This is what we were told as well and never had an issue. The tapstiles don't seem to be checking for an AP only the CM outside and they just wanted to see on AP card per group.

I asked specifically at EPCOT when the line was much shorter and was told "at least 1 per group" YMMV.

Anyone use these entrances recently, are they longer vs. short and can non AP holders go with you (in your experiences)?

I can't tell you if non AP holders can go through, as everyone in our family has one. However, we used them a few weeks ago. Yes, the line for them in the morning is much shorter. If you're showing up around park open, they're fantastic. However, by mid-morning, the initial rush of people entering has died down, so they become sort of unnecessary. A few times we used them late in the day, but mostly we just used what was closest.
