That is the way it was this past year. You can then use those one day tickets toward your next AP at full value of what you paid for them so they are not wasted though.
Hope this is what you wanted to know. Disney can change the rules at any time though.
So, if I were to get an AP for myself, I would also have to get a 1 day ticket; and then, if we got a 7 day ph for DF, would we have to also get him a 1 day ticket so that we would be on the same package in order to get DDP?
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'v been wondering about this. We own DVC, and have AP's. If free dining comes out this summer, we'll extend our trip and buy a package for 5 or 6 extra days to take advantage of it. So, we'll get one day passes as part of the package, so-
Do we buy the no expiration option and then turn them in in January when we renew our AP's? Or, do we have to do something with them (purchase a renewal AP voucher or something) while we are staying on the package?

Here's what we did in Sept. We booked our package with 1 day base MYW passes (so we could get free dining). At check in, we upgraded DH's to a 10 day park hopper and I took my ticket and applied it to my AP (this had to be done at guest services at the park).
