AP Code with dining package?

I called Disney tonight at the 407-560-2428 number to add the AP rate to my Dec account. The CM I spoke with said I already had the AP rate on my trip which I knew couldn't be right. Disney doesn't just go through and update people's trips with discounts!

So when DH got home from his walk with the boys, I had him call again. The CM he spoke with at the 407-934-7639 number told him that he couldn't add the AP rate because we added the dining plan to our reservation.

What's the "right" way to get the code??? Either DH or I are going to call here in the next little bit one more time (although we're HOPING for a Disney Visa code tomorrow morning!!), just to try and get a discount. He gave DH a quote for a moderate (CBR I think) and ASM suite but said we couldn't add it with the dining plan. DH just gave up and had him keep everything the same.

Anyone care to spread some pixie dust?

well, i know that i checked room only, got the price, then it gives you an option to add dining, and it was about $500 less then adding it as a room with dining. Maybe see if you can do that if nothing else. One good thing about AP is at least you dont have to buy a one day ticket to get dining..

Room only: PWE

AP w/ base dining: DHZ

AP w/ deluxe dining: JZJ

That is possible. They do limit the reservations with the dining package, if I've understood correctly.

What are your dates, just curious? I looked at the AP website because the discount that DH got today didn't add up to what I had thought it would, and there are some dates that are blocked out. We're going over Thanksgiving.
