Ap code, FL Res. Code, Anyone Code

Ive been calling for resies at the campground since the first day the discount codes were posted for spring, and guess what! No luck. One Customer Service guy told me that he didnt see the codes applying to any of the campground sites for the March dates I need.

When I emailed Disney, they just sent back a standard response. I think they have excluded the campground (except cabins) from the discount.

Has anyone had any luck?

As far as I can tell, no codes, no way, no how for our time in March, either. AP, anyone code, AAA, nothing. Not that they have all been used, but none have been offered for the campsites at all for that time.

When we went last year there were no AP discounts for campsites, but there were AAA and Disney Club. I am glad you emailed them, because it isn't as if that time is THAT busy and perhaps somehow it was overlooked that Disney Club is no longer and no AAA discounts were arranged. Maybe if enough of us complain there will be an effort to include campsites in the discounts -- at least ONE category of discounts!

I called in Dec. and did not get Fl. discount for Jan. but got it for Feb., March and April. Nothing available at that time for May or June but I will keep on calling and advise you to keep checking back. Must have gotten lucky for a change.

Fred, do you think Disney is dicriminating against us campers? I think so, eveyone reading, email disney and tell them we want discount codes that apply to the campground. Then post on here to let me know you did it. Maybe we can attract some attention and save us all some money as well.

I honestly can't figure out a logical reason for excluding the campsites. Any sort of arguments (busy season, they'll sell anyway, whatever) applies just as much if not more to other, more popular, times and resorts at which discounts ARE offered. Last year when AP discounts weren't available it wasn't a big deal since AAA and Disney Club ones were, more regularly and further in advance than AP discounts. Now that DC is gone and for whatever reason AAA discount isn't offered, the exclusion from the other discount codes hurts. As I said, maybe it wasn't a deliberate move, but someone didn't realize that there are NO discounts during a somewhat busy, but not peak, period at the campground.

Contacting can't hurt. The squeaky wheel gets the oil as they say.

First week in Feb., March and April. As I posted , call was done in Dec. and checked thru to June. These were for standard campsite with full hook up.

Yep, this is very frustrating about the lack of any discounts for campers. I've tried several times for the "anyone" code, and was told once that occupancy at FW is at a high for the first time since 9/11 and that they know they'll be able to fill the campsites without discounting them. Maybe persistance will pay off and eventually we'll get something.

I tend to agree, the decision to create/institute discount codes depends on supply and demand.

FW tends to be a little different from the other resorts. While the hotels tend to slow down a little during school months, FW stays busy. Why, because when folks with kids go back to school the retired folks gravitate to FW.

While they don't have short term discount codes, the folks that stay for a month+ do get a discount.

I just checked on the Waltdisneyworld.com website and the anyone code is available for the campsites for some of the dates. It is unavailable for some of the dates but that is no different then for the resort hotel rooms. The code rates which include taxes are $74.72 for a preferred site, $69.14 for a full hookup site, and $57.98 for a partial hook-up site. These prices are about $10.00 a night cheaper then the rack rates.

You can check on the waltdisneyworld.com website to see if the discount for your dates is available by clicking on Tickets & Reservations. When that screen comes up scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Special Offers. When the special offers screen comes up click on Disney's Spring Resort Savings. Scroll down on this page until you see See Important Details Below in white letters. Right below this you will see an easy to miss link that says Book Online. Click on book online and then you will be able to check for yourself to see if the dates you are interested in are available at a discount or not. If not I would suggest checking back frequently to see if any of the dates you are interested in open up.

Thanks, and I am not sure for what dates you searched, but I think most of us have already checked with Disney and gotten specific info that there are no discounts whatsoever for the campsites for our particularly periods. It certainly seems that there are far fewer discounts this year for the campsites, and this is my first experience with NO discount at a time which is not that busy, and certainly less busy than other times when FW is booked solid but discounts were offered. When discounts are given for July 4th week and Christmas, but not a slow week in March which significantly precedes Easter and most spring breaks then something is just off.

Again, I don't know that it is that deliberate on their part since it isn't particularly logical.

You know, this still has me seething... I can get a discount code for a disney hotel for the same time I made my camping resie in March, but I can't have a discount at the campground. And it's not that all the sites w/discount code are taken, there were never any to begin with at a discount!!

Campers unite! Let's let Disney know how we feel about this.

What do you have in mind? (BTW, I wouldn't use the "crazy" smilie in any correspondence with Disney, or they'll just classify us as insane cheap campers, which might not be particularly effective. ) I'm willing to convey my concern/dissatisfaction at the failure to discount at all during that period. It still makes me wonder if it wasn't some sort of oversight. It isn't as if the campground is that much busier than all of the resorts with discounts.

Let's hear a plan!

Well, maybe it's just me but I'm happy to have no discounts.....

I'm terrified that Disney will decide that the land at FW would be more profitably used for a multi-story hotel. As long as FW stays full I feel hopeful that it won't happen. I just don't know if I could stand it if FW were gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you read the postings under "Can I Post This?" I called with the code CIE and saved close to $100/night in the cabins for May. Don't know if they have any campsites left though.
