Hello Everyone,

We have not been to DL since 2010. Looking forward to going Jan 2014 to see how different DCA and some of the DL rides will be. We just signed up for DVC on our last Hawaiian cruise and were SO excited to be staying at The Grand! Booked for 9 nights and couldn't WAIT to visit the park everyday!

Sadly, I have been reading the threads about only allowing 5 day hoppers WITHOUT the ability ( i know there have been some exceptions) to "add on". So sad...........

So, my other option, other than buying additional days would be to convert the 5 day into an AP. Hey, this will just mean we will have to return more later in a year eh?

Since we are such NOOBS for AP's I have no idea where to event start looking for the AP centre. Do I just go to ticket booth? Is it in downtown disney? in disneyland?

Sorry if this is found somewhere else on a different thread, I am hoping this is right venue for my question. Enjoy the rest of the summer and those going to the park, enjoy it for me as I have to wait til Jan.

It is very easy to convert your ticket to an AP, just visit any of the ticket booths. They can process it for you. You will need to visit the park once you have APs in hand to have a photo pass photographer take your picture. They will attach this picture electronically to your AP.

You also need to think about getting your AP sooner rather than later. There are discounts associated with your AP for food and merchandise. Of course, if the AP you want to get is blocked out any of your days, you may want to take that into consideration as well. Do remember that on the day you upgrade, you can enter the parks even if that would normally be blocked out for you.

If you were thinking of getting the Premium AP, there may be no reason to get a ticket. There are no block out days and you can start using the discounts ASAP. Since you are at the Grand, you already get the early magic hour, so you don't need the benefit of a park hopper in that regard. However, if you were going to go Deluxe and you are dealing with block out days, it may be better to go with park hoppers and then upgrade.

I hope you have a great trip!

As a DVC member, you should be able to get a discount on the AP as well.

The DVC discount only applies to the WDW Annual Passes.

That sucks. I thought they offered a discount on passes across the board.

DVC members get $20 off Disneyland Premium or Deluxe Annual Passes. This doesn't work for renewals but for the first time it does. You can get the discount at any of the ticket booths.

That's what I had thought the case was.

I like how you said that you will just have to return to Disneyland later on in the year. :) You can either view the Annual Pass info at Disneyland's Website or they will take care of you at Disneyland Park. Sounds like a fun trip! Have a good time! :thumbsup2
