AP card question

My son and I upgraded to APs last April. At the time they gave us temporary cards with our names written on the back in permanent marker (one for him, one for me). When we got home I ordered the AP magic bands, which came with "official" Passholder cards, and I put them away without really looking.

In preparation for our upcoming trip, I dug them out and I realized both AP cards have my name on them (instead of one for me and one for my son). They are both linked correctly on MDE (one to him, one to me).

He is only 7 so he wouldn't ever really be using a card without me (for a discount or anything). Is this normal? A problem? Something I have to fix? Before I leave or when I get there?

Thanks for any info!

If each of you has a pass properly linked on MDE, the names written on the cards are pretty much irrelevant. Especially since a child is unlikely to be using the card on his own anyway.

Edit: Do you mean the 'official' cards sent to you both have your name on them, or the ones with the marker-written names? If the ones sent to you both have your name, that means something is screwy in Disney's computers. Your passes should still work, but it's something you might want to ask Guest Relations about at some point. If it's the marker-written names, my original answer applies.
