I paid for an Annual Pass, but will first activate when I arrive at WDW on January 3.
Was I supposed to receive something in the mail? The last, and only, time I bought an AP was for 2019, and I believe something came in the mail, but I don't remember what--Magic Band, Slider?
Thanks.

As long as it is listed in your MDE under tickets, and I assume it is so you could make park reservations, you're good to go. Just take your magic band to Guest services, along with a photo ID and your DVC Card, in case the electronic DVC Member verification system hasn't kicked in yet.

Thanks. Actually, I also need to bring the credit card I used to purchase the AP. I used a Disney gift card, because I bought it at Target and got the 5% credit card discount, and thus saved a few bucks.

Not wanting to tell you something you already know, but when you activate this pass, it will be changed to a different type of pass than you originally purchased. We just did it a few weeks ago, and it's not a problem. But you'll be getting the new pass that's equivalent to the one you purchased. Sounds like you might have the DVC/Florida Gold pass. If so, you'll receive a new Sorcerer's pass. Just make sure you ask Guest Services about the Memory Maker/Photo Pass that was part of your Gold pass, but not part of the normal Sorcerer pass - you should get it included the first year when they change it.

Well, you ARE telling me something I don't know!
I bought, I thought, the $1300 AP that sells to DVC owners for $900. But I looked again at the confirmation email, and it does say Sorcerer Pass. The Sorcerer Pass has blackout dates, which doesn't affect me.
I'm not a Florida resident, so I never had a Gold pass. And my understanding is that the Memory Maker is no longer included with the AP.

I think if you bought it in 2019, it included MM. When they give you the new one, I thought it was something they'll give you just this first year. We renewed and it was changed to Sorcerer and includes MM. Ask when you're at Guest Services. When you bought the certificate, MM was part of it. The next time we renew, and if you renew next year, MM will be an add-on.

I'm pretty positive that when I bought it in November, MM was not part of it, and that they had moved to "we've increased your choices by making it extra" mode. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm positive there was a box to check off to add MM for $99. But I will ask, what do I have to lose?

Sorry if I misinterpreted your comment above about buying an AP in 2019 - I thought you had the certificate from 2019. It sounds like you have used that AP and now bought another new one in November. If that's the case, you are correct - no MM. Sorry for my confusion about the 2019 date.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I bought an AP in 2018 and activated it in January 2019. 2020 and 2021 I used my legacy 10 entry non-expiring tickets. This year, I plan to go 3 times, so I bought an AP again.

I am hesitant to point this out, I do not think it applies to you, but I would hate for you to get surprised in Jan. When they were selling the AP's back in Nov, many "white card" members were able to purchase the Sorcerer pass through ticketing or on site, even though the DVC terms would indicate they were not eligible for the discounted AP. (Only FL residents and DVC "Blue card" owners are eligible for the Sorcerer (and old Gold) AP). Up until a few days ago, "white card" members, we having no issues activating the vouchers at guest relations/ticket counters. However, on other threads, it appears that may be changing. Some state they are either having to switch to Incredipass (1300) and pay the difference, or switch to day passes and get a partial refund.

So if you are a Blue Card member - have your card. If not, you may have no issue, or you could presented with an unexpected choice, based on the CM at the ticket window.......

Wow, thanks.
I bought re-sale, but in 2009, so I am grandfathered in and do have a blue card.

Great! And you may know this already but hard plastic blue cards will expire on 12/31/21 and then we go to the online version, which I believe can be downloaded to your phone. Not 100% on the DL part.
