AP and the dining plan

I would like to purchase AP's for our upcoming trip. Can you still do the dining plan with the AP? Any info would be helpful, thanks in advance!!

Yes, you can purchase the DDP with an AP with no additional ticket purchase. You have to purchase a ticketless AP package with dining. I believe you have to be using an AP rate for the room or paying rack rate for the room, but that part is a little fuzzy to me. I've seen a handful of reports that suggested otherwise, but most say that.

You cannot get free dining, however, without buying the minimum tickets required for any free dining offer.

We have APs and are booked at Wilderness Lodge for September with a room only AP discount and purchased the dining plan when we booked. Hope that helps.

Congrats on your DVC purchase! I'd suggest looking into Tables in Wonderland. With the kitchen availability we find that we get a better bang for our buck with a standard 20% off dining purchases rather than being "stuck" to a dining plan. Of course that isn't always true for everyone but definitely look at your options.

DVC members are also allowed to buy the DDP without tickets - it doesn't matter if you have an AP or not. That is for DVC reservations only. You add it (and pay for it when adding it) through Member Services.
