We are annual passholders for the first time this year. We just returned from our trip. I was thinking about going back in April, but from what I've noticed, the AP rates don't come out until a few months before, is that correct? Do people wait and still get reservations with those rates? Or do you book early and change over to AP rates? I just like to plan really far out, I usually book 11 months out with DVC points so this will be different for me. I'm afraid to wait for the AP rates if its too close to the trip. Any help/advice??? Thanks!

Hi, I made 5 trips this past year on an AP. I ALWAYS booked my trips less then 2 months in advance and got the AP rates on my rooms. I stayed deluxe concierge and those are pretty limited rooms.

I am bummed about the new BRP passholder thing. I dont like having to book my trips so far out to get these BRP rates. I really liked to book those last minute trips and still get the AP rates. Some of my trips this past year were booked less than a month out!!

Just keep up with the Codes and Rates board and you will know when the BRP rates come out for your dates. I booked GF RPC for our March spring break trip as soon as the BRP rates came out the end of October.

I never book early & change to AP rates. I always wait to get the rate I am looking for before I book. As I have read and believe, the less rooms Disney has filled, the better and more the deals will be.

Good luck & happy planning!

At the risk of sounding "not so smart", what is BRP Passholder? Should I be looking for rates for April to come our shortly then?

Hi, the BRP stands for Best Rate Program (I think!!! ;) ) or some such thing!!

It is the new AP discount rate program. You can access it online at the Disney website. Just click on passholders and sign in with the numbers on your AP. You will have a selection of discounts for AP holders. Click on Special Offers and you can see the room availablity and dates the discounts are available.

Hope that helps. Right now, I believe you can book a room up until April 13, 2006. If this is in your time frame, do it asap for best selection. You will have to put down a nonrefundable deposit.

Good luck!
