Is there a way to get an AP and the room discounts and still get the Dining Plan?

Do I have to buy a 1 day MYW ticket for myself if I am the AP holder?

You cannot get an AP rate on the room and the dining plan. Dining Plan is with packages only.

yes if you want the package.

We are ap holders and did the free dining in August. We bought 2 one-day tickets and paid rack rate for a room at Pop. It was still worth it for us. We have since used one of the one-day tickets for my AP renewal and have the other one for hubby's renewal in April 2007. (the tickets are not a big deal as they are sort of like prepaying for your AP). This works well when the dining is free, but you will have to crunch the numbers if dining is not free, as it may not be enough of a savings to justify this route.

Thanks for the info.......I am thinking it may not be worth it. We enjoyed the dining plan and would like to do it again. We currently have 2 adults, 2 children ages 7 & 9, 2 children under 3 (free), 9 day MYW park hopper plus tickets and dining plan, 9 nites Polynesian GV for $4711.78

I think with the AP we could get the room for $249 per nite, but then add in the AP, park tickets and food...........
